Department of Medicine in University of Veterinary Science has long being established since 1957, together with the veterinary education establishment (VEE) in Myanmar. Several departmental head have been changed during the 63 years of development. I will try to the best of my abilities for the development and teaching and research of Department of Medicine.

The Department of Medicine is solely responsible for teaching of Clinical Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Animal Health to the undergrad and post-grad students. Teaching of veterinary medicine will always be in-line with recommendation by the World Organization for Animal Health and modernized by using updated literatures and relevant reference books. Research on several research areas of veterinary medicine has been conducted by the academic staff and post graduate students of Department of Medicine. Department of Medicine will take-part in solving the existing problems of livestock sector in Myanmar by doing university-industry collaboration.
